Voices|Brixton

people come together and tell their stories

Voices|Brixton is a safe space for people from different ethnicities and faiths to come together and share their stories.

We use oral history interviewing to help people connect, build greater understanding, and increase social cohesion.

As noted, ‘Stories are about collaboration and connection…stories are the common ground that allows people to communicate, overcoming our defences and our differences.’ (Psychology Today).

Voices: Brixton is a chance for people to communicate shared experiences of the impact of issues surrounding the future of their neighbourhood.

A place where people meet, share stories and create lasting friendships

We Grow Together

Voices: Brixton is a chance to communicate shared experiences of the impact of issues surrounding the future of our neighbourhood. Voices|Brixton is designed to ensure that people have the chance to speak up or listen and be inspired.

United by a shared aim - improving their neighbourhood - people come together, build lasting friendships, and create sustainable relationships built on trust and mutual respect.

We use traditional and digital storytelling techniques to bring people from diverse faiths and ethnicities together to engage in constructive healing dialogue.

Voices|Brixton enables people to share their most poignant experiences in their own words.

Participants learn coping skills that help them support each other, grow, and make positive contributions to their neighbourhood.
